Manchester Academic Charter School

Manchester Academic Charter School (MACS) is a charter school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offering an exceptional K-8 education rooted in community engagement and academic excellence. Established in 1998 by Dr. Betty and Rev. James Robinson, MACS has grown into a leading choice for families across the region, with two campuses serving over 400 students. The school’s mission is to nurture students' academic and personal growth, preparing them to be confident readers, writers, and problem solvers. MACS provides a dynamic learning environment with structured support, enrichment opportunities, and a focus on developing a clear vision for each student’s future. The school offers preschool, after-school, and summer programs in collaboration with local partners, including the Manchester Youth Development Center and the Children’s Museum. In 2019, MACS expanded to include a Middle School at Museum Lab, providing hands-on learning experiences to foster creativity and critical thinking.
